When you are ready to start shipping products for your business, this can be a monumental occasion. Going through with an actual business is something that many people are never able to accomplish. Once you have approved of your product and you have received orders from customers, you are almost ready to ship. Before you begin boxing and mailing products, there are a few items that you will need to keep on hand. Here are three items to buy in bulk before shipping out items.

1. Silica gel packets

If you sell items that need to remain without moisture, you need to include silica gel packets inside of the boxes. Items such as leather or wood will need to remain dry so that they do not ruin, expand, or become discolored. Ordering bulk silica gel is easy and grabbing one or two to include inside of a shipment takes only a few seconds. If you desire, you can scent the silica gel packets with essential oil or perfume in order to lightly scent the package.

2. Tissue paper and bubble wrap

It is a bad idea to ship a box with items that are able to fly around inside during transport. This can disrupt the presentation of the item, which is important for your company name, Stock up on bubble wrap to use with items that are fragile or need a little bit of padding so that the product does not become smashed or otherwise disfigured. For large items or items that do not require bubble wrap, create a custom company tissue paper with your name or logo over the paper. Wrap all shipped items inside of this tissue paper to keep them together and provide padding inside of the box.

3. Foldable custom boxes

Along with money, the one thing that is often tight for more new business owners is space. If there is not a lot of space where you will be keeping your merchandise and packing materials, it is a good idea to make everything as compact as possible. For your boxing needs, have custom boxes created that are foldable when you are prepared to use them. This means that they can sit in a stack high on a shelf and be folded into a box when you are ready for that particular box to be sent out to customers. Foldable boxes can also be shipped to you at a lower cost, making your business bottom line more viable with your seed money.
